Clearlake Modelers is AMA Club#1275. We are located in Lake County, California, and our members enjoy all aspects of radio-controlled aircraft.

Sunday, June 7, 2009, Doug Moore flew his A-26 for the first time. This VQ model 286 "Flying Coffin" ARF has a 68-inch wing span and is powered by two OS .35's. The photos below that document this nail-biting event were taken by Scott Drew.

As of June 25, 2009, all of the buildings and other pilot support equipment have been transferred to the temporary storage area. The Crazy Creek Glider Port Field is available on Tuesdays and Saturday mornings only for our use. Contact Duane Sanders for details. Duane Sanders provided us a map of the field. Woodland-Davis Aeromodelers will be hosting their annual Wings of Victory event July 24-26, 2009. The Jet Fly will be held October 9-11, 2009. Visit their web site for details.

Sunday, June 7th, was the first time Jack Tatum was able to come to the field since his surgery. The photo below left shows Jack getting his CAP ready for flight. The photo below center is Jack with his Waco. Photos were taken by Scott Drew.
