2008 CHRISTMAS DINNER
Mark your calendar for Friday, December 5th at Main Street Café, 14084 Lakeshore Drive, Clearlake, CA 95422. Take Lakeshore Drive off Highway 53 into Clearlake. Main Street Café is located on the right one block before Austin Park.
Social Hour begins at 6:00 p.m. Dinner is at 7:00 p.m. The price for the dinner is $23.95 and includes a non-alcoholic beverage, dessert, gratuity and tax. The menu choices are prime rib, half BBQ chicken, or seafood pasta. Please remember what you order—you won’t be able to change your mind at the dinner.
Paul B. and Merrill set up all the details for the Christmas Dinner this year. They have done a terrific job, don’t you think! RSVP early enough so that we have your responses in our hot little hands by November 24th. (The restaurant needs a head count from me on Nov 25). I know it’s only a couple of weeks notice, but it should be lots of fun.
RAFFLE: Ron Keil will host the annual Christmas Raffle. Fred Constantine has donated a Kyosho Nexus 30 helicopter that is complete with radio, training rig and manuals. It’s out of production but Fred assures us that parts are available. The three photos here were taken by Fred and show off this wonderful prize nicely. If you would like to donate items to the raffle, please contact Ron. Donations are welcome and do not have to be new, but no junk, please!
Shown here on her maiden flight is the Rumpler Taube (German Dove) that Paul Biehler built for Merrill Featherstone.

Sunday, November 16th, Rick delivered this new start-up bench to Chesley Meadows
field. Jack, with Don’s help, was the first to use the new bench. In the background Steve is
already airborne and enjoying the excellent flying conditions. Photo by Dee Tatum.
Now that you're ready to go bore holes in the sky, check the weather at any of these sites. Just for fun, check more than one then compare to see which is most accurate!
